The ferry to and from Ameland operates on a standard timetable. On days when many visitors are expected, Wagenborg Passenger Services operates a second ferry, called 'extra departures'.

Ameland is easy to reach for everyone, no matter where you come from and by what means you travel.

The ferry to Ameland departs from the port of Holwerd. If you travel by train or bus, you will travel to Leeuwarden station. From this station, travel by bus line 66 to the ferry port in Holwerd (Exit stop "Veerdam, Holwerd").

Travel on balance with your Ov-chipkaart
Travel with your debit card or credit card (check in and out as with an Ov-chipkaart)
Buy an E-ticket (printed or on your phone) via arriva.nl/eticket or via the Arriva app
Buying a ticket at ééone of the Ov service points (possible in Leeuwarden, among other places) 
Buying a ticket from the driver, where payment can only be made by debit card

When you arrive on Ameland by boat, there are buses and taxi's ready to transport you to your vacation address. The OV-chipcard is valid on Ameland, but you can also easily buy a bus ticket on the bus from the bus driver.

It is also possible to rent a car at ééone of the car rental companies. Of course, you can also rent a bicycle or walk to your accommodation.

You can rent a bike at Fietsenverhuur Nobel.

To give the next guests just as'n a great start, we ask the following:

Leave the house broom clean.

Set furniture back where it was.

Take off the bedding and put it in the hallway – please put in the pillowcases.

Empty the dishwasher.

Take the garbage to the designated containers.

Have you used the fireplace? Then empty it.

The deposit will be refunded within two weeks after departure, provided the house is left in good condition. If there are any special circumstances, we will of course contact you in advance.
